MISSION:LOVE 12

We’ve been on a journey of love, and here we are at the last mission.  I pray that you’ve gathered some new knowledge about what love looks like, that you’ll take with you as you continue your journey as a disciple.  Let’s review:

• We’ve learned that God is love and that love is passionate, forceful and determined.
• We’ve learned that God wants to bond with humanity and that’s why Jesus died on the cross.
• We’ve seen that love is expressed and amplified throughout the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments.
• We’ve learned that society is full of false loves where the spirit withers, but in true love we find life and peace.
• We’ve learned that it’s possible to love God even when we’re suffering and things aren’t going right in our lives.
• We’ve seen how we’re to be disciples of the cross who love the Lamb of God and are drawn to love others who do the same.
• We’ve learned that love demands action.  It’s not just a sentiment or a feeling.
• We’ve learned that Jesus loves us like a groom loves his bride and that we’re to cultivate bridal passion for Him, as we await His return.
• We’ve learned that love is the most important thing in all that we do.
• We’ve been given glimpses of how we can love our neighbors as ourselves.
• We’ve been exposed to God loving us as our perfect Father.
• We’ve been challenged to love outside of our comfort zones.

Spend some time reflecting on each of these statements and write down things that you’ve learned in your personal journal.  This is a season for you to seek the Lord and ask Him to give you a revelation of His love for you so that you can in turn share that love with people in your life.
