MISSION:FELLOWSHIP & COMMUNITY 10

NEWS FLASH!!  The Kingdom of God is not a democracy. Democracy is a form of government in which all eligible citizens are meant to participate equally – either directly or, through elected representatives, indirectly – in the proposal, development and establishment of the laws by which their society is run.  The Kingdom of God is not like that.  It’s a Kingdom.  A Kingdom is a government that has a king as its head.  As part of the Church we are part of God’s Kingdom.  God makes the rules.  The rules are found in the Bible. We need to rise up above our worldly attitudes about what being a Disciple of Messiah is really about. Being a Disciple means that we’re submitted to the King, at the cost of our own lives, agendas, ideals and beliefs.  The principles of the Kingdom of God are completely opposite to the principles of this world.  Discuss some examples of this with your Mentor, as well has your own ideas about being submitted to God’s reign in your life.
