Holiness is being set apart.  Being a doer of the Word means you’ll be set apart from the world.  Your life won’t look like everyone else’s.  You’ll no longer base your security on fitting in with the crowd, or getting people to “like” you.  You’ll find your security in being a child of God. (Gal. 3:26)Even when people persecute or ridicule you, you’ll find peace and contentment knowing that you’re pleasing God and not men. (1 Thes. 2:4)
