ONLINE BIBLE STUDY
GETTING TO KNOW GOD & HIS WAYS

Our study is a verse by verse study of the Scriptures beginning in Genesis.

We study the Bible live and online. It’s not a “teaching” per-say, but a discussion.

Your perspective is valuable and we want to hear it. You can join the discussion at any time. We’re recording our studies and a written outline is available too.

.Let’s get to know God and His ways.  In John 17:3 the Scriptures teach that eternal life means knowing God, and the Messiah.  That’s the blessing of being “born-again.”  Our relationship with our Creator – God has been restored.

.

God doesn’t save us to put us into slavery so we’re constantly doing things for Him.  He saves us so we can know Him.

Our relationship with God culminates in a marriage.  The big question is will you spend the time and energy necessary to build that relationship?

God desires intimacy with His true Bride. Scripture is clear in Matthew 7:21-23 that many who think they’re in relationship with God will actually hear Him say to them “depart from Me I never knew you.”

We must be willing to be changed by God.  We must be willing to open and join every part of our life and being – our deepest parts, our heart, soul, wounds, longings, desires, everything about us – to God.

As we go through this sequential look at God’s Word our goal will be to know God more. We’re going to also be open to His help so we know ourselves more.

The goal is to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may know the perfect will of God.  (Romans 12:1-2)

After each time of study we encourage you to spend time thinking about God.  A.W. Tozer says that the highest thoughts a man can think are thoughts about God.

Let’s discipline our minds to say “no” to life’s distractions and say “yes” to God. Using a journal is a great way to capture Scriptures that stand out to you, as well as thoughts about God you’d like to remember.

Let the Holy Spirit guide you into all truth, as you seek to build your relationship with the lover of your soul.

Unfortunately, teachers have become idols in the Body of Christ and because of this a clergy/laity mentality prevails. This causes many to live powerless lives.

This Bible study’s aim is to tear down that false paradigm and focus on Messiah as the Head and we, His Body as Ambassadors of God’s Kingdom on earth.

Our goal will be to look to each other to function in the different roles the Lord has for us, building us all up into the world-changers that we’re destined to be.

Bible Study Goal:  Ephesians 4:11-16

Believe me when I say this hour means so much to me. I learn things from our discussions that give me a lot to think about. The Bible has come so alive for me. Thank you Mission Discipleship, for all you are doing for God’s people. I’m looking forward to our next meeting.

Gerry H. - Menifee, CA

Like many people, my personal world is crammed with rushing around and doing as much as I can to get everything done. This Bible study has been to me like the word, “Selah,” which seems to have several meanings but most agree that it means to pause and meditate on what His Word says and to Praise Him.  I thank God that He put Mission Discipleship into my life to help me to “Selah!” I am very thankful because this has been healing, and has brought joy into my life!

Janet C. - Hastings, FL

I learned a new aspect of God’s character that I had never seen before.  I have read the Bible and I have studied the Bible, but this study was the first time I had this particular understanding of the term Elohim.   Now when I read the Bible, I can see the complete Elohim everywhere.  That is my favorite kind of revelation, one that keeps growing bigger and deeper.

Jeanne M. - Mesa, AZ
